Hi, I'm Bear Davis, Head Lacrosse Coach at
NCAA Division 1 - Robert Morris University. I would like to welcome you to Big Shot Lacrosse now in our
9th year of providing quality lacrosse camp, clinic and competitive programs at reasonable cost.
We believe that all kids who want to learn lacrosse should have the opportunity to do so, and our programs are priced to come as close to that goal as possible. A love of the game is essential to be a lacrosse player, and our programs are structured to be fun and enjoyable at the same time building the skills that are essential for later success as an outstanding lacrosse player. As the Head Coach of a Division
I Lacrosse Program
I know the skills it takes to succeed at top level lacrosse. For the elite player, we offer top flight, individualized instruction so that each player can go as far as their desire, motivation and persistence will take them.
We are proud of our outstanding coaching staff. We are fortunate to have a group of coaches who are both successful on the field and in the values necessary to succeed off the field. At Big Shot we teach values along with lacrosse. Whether it's the Challenge
Camp, Position Clinics, Coaches Clinic, or our 7v7 Fall Classic we are sure that you will have a positive experience!
Big Shot History In 1999 I started my quest to hold camps and clinics in the Midwest that would have the great mixture of affordability, experienced staff, competition, and a great learning environment. In doing some research I found kids were only getting some of those ideas in existing camps and clinics. If the camp had college instructors they usually had to break their savings account to attend the clinic. If the camp was low cost typically the instruction was of low quality.
I am a firm believer that every young person who wants to try the game of lacrosse should have the opportunity to do so. This is why Big Shot Lacrosse has many times put on clinics in areas where no other college coaches would go. Since 1999 we have held several different kinds of events: The 7v7 Fall Classic
started in 1999 with 8 teams competing. Since 2004 we have had 28 teams
compete in our varsity division and 14 in the junior varsity. The summer Challenge Camp
will be entering its sixth year in 2007 and looking to build off of the 6 teams that competed in 2006. The January Midwest Lacrosse Coaches Clinic
will be entering its fourth year of service to area coaches looking to sharpen up before the season kicks off! Several other positional clinics and coaches clinics have proven successful over the past
8 years.
If you are interested in having a Big Shot Lacrosse clinic for your team or area do not hesitate to contact me and I would be glad to look into several different options with you.
Thank you, Bear Davis |
