Now in its ninth year of existence, the Big Shot 7v7 has proven to be the elite high school fall tournament in the Midwest.
In the Fall of 1999 the tournament hosted 8 teams, and by 2002 the tournament had grown to 26 teams from all over the country. The tournament has expanded in its efforts to accommodate programs of all levels. 
By the fall of 2003 the tournament had outgrown its original location and has had to find a larger venue.  Slippery Rock University has since played host to the growing event. The 2007 7v7 will feature 28 varsity and 14 junior varsity programs. 
The staff is committed to continued improvements in the scope and quality of the tournament.

28 team compete in 4 round robins made up of 7 teams. 
Each team will have 6 games.
Winners of each round robin will advance to the semi's

[ Junior Varsity Pool Assignments ]- as of 10/25/2007
14 teams compete in 2 round robins made up of 7 teams.
Each team will have 6 games.
Winners of each round robin will play in the JV Championship.

7. Where do we check in on Sunday? [top of page ]

For each set of three fields there will be head table.  Your team coach or representative should report there 45 minutes before your first game.

8. Will there be college coaches there?  [top of page ]

Yes there will be college coaches there. That is why it is very important that the varsity roster sheets are complete and accurate. It is also vital that the coach's contact information is correct and on the roster.  The college coaches will be instructed to contact the coach or parent rep. in order to obtain more information about the player.

9. What do we do about food?  [top of page ]

FOOD: IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ORDERING FOOD FOR YOUR TEAM YOU CAN DO SO BY CONTACTING GIANT EAGLE AT 724-794-5040. THEY WILL GIVE YOU A SPECIAL ON A HUGE SUB RING AND 3LBS OF A SIDE DISH ($39.99) .  YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE SOME ONE PICK IT UP FROM GIANT EAGLE. NOTE: THEY NEED 24 HOURS NOTICE BEFORE PICKUP.

THE SLIPPERY ROCK CLUB LACROSSE TEAM WILL HAVE FOOD AND PIZZA AVAILABLE AS WELL.

10. What do we do about locker rooms?  [top of page ]

LOCKER ROOMS: THERE WILL BE A LOCKER ROOM AVAILABLE IN THE FIELD HOUSE NEXT TO OLD THOMPSON GRASS STADIUM. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SURE THAT IT IS CLEAN AFTER YOU USE IT.   IF YOU WANT TO USE THE LOCKER ROOMS YOU MUST NOTIFY BEAR DAVIS AT 412-716-4317

Rules:
1. 2 mids 2 attack 2 defense 1 keeper
2. sub on the fly
3. NO poles (NEW THIS YEAR)
4. 25 minute running time
5. No time outs
6. Penalty's lead to loss of possession or 3 v 2 fast break
   - the person who caused the penalty does not have to be exempt from the fast break.
7. No body checks
8. Face off to start the game - from there the goalie clears after the score
9. There will be one horn to start and stop the games
10. There will be 5 minutes to get on and off the fields.

Slippery Rock University Athletic Trainers will be onsite.
There will be certified refs. for each game.

13. Where can I find details for the team coach or contact?    [top of page ]

Team coaches and or contacts. 
1. Please make sure that we have your correct phone and email information.  The college coaches looking at your players will be contacting you for further information on your players.  They will not be able to do so if the contact info. is incorrect.
2.  Make sure that your teams jersey numbers match up with your roster.
3. Make sure that your team is ready to take the field 10 minutes before each start time.
4. If anybody has any questions in your program please have them contact you and then you contact us.

15. What are the fees and late fees?  [top of page ]

PRICE: $400 per team when received by Oct 20th, 2007.  If you are bringing multiple teams (i.e. varsity and jv), we offer discounted rates. The first team is $400, second team $350 and the third is $300. Payment after October 20th, 2007 will be $500 for the first team and $450 for the second and $400 for the 3rd.

You need to email your changes to bshotlax@yahoo.com . Make sure the title of your email states your team name and ROSTER CHANGE.  We will send the rosters to print on Friday afternoon.
